Is Berea free?
Yes. Every tool is free while Berea is in beta, with no account needed to read, study or present. If anything changes after the beta, we will tell you clearly before it does.
Does it work offline?
The Mac app works fully offline: Bibles, notes, marks and the presenter. The phone app reads offline too. The web app needs an internet connection.
Which Bibles are included?
The Berean Standard Bible, the World English Bible, the ASV and Young’s Literal, with the Greek New Testament and the Hebrew Old Testament. A free library pack adds more translations, dictionaries, topical indexes and commentaries.
Is there an Afrikaans Bible?
The app itself speaks Afrikaans. An Afrikaans Bible translation is not included yet: we are working on the licence with the rights holders.
What does the AI do?
It is optional and uses your own key. It is a guide, not a preacher: it suggests where to look next, asks questions and gives background facts. It never hands you a conclusion or settles doctrine, and every verse it names is checked against your Bible.
Can my church use it on Sunday?
Yes. Put Scripture on the room screen, mark words live, let people follow on their phones with a QR code, and drive it from a Stream Deck. No subscription during the beta.
Where does my data live?
On your device, in files you own. Sync is optional and moves only your study documents between your devices. You can delete your account and its data at any time.
